Day at the Beach #2

I gotta say I really had a hard time getting shots of the sunrise. It was refreshing waking up in the cold, with the feel of salt against my face. I don't have the words to explain just how the ocean effects me. It just does, its were my heart belongs. I adore her very much.

Thanks for the comments folks. Jack, nope not my sculpture. It was on the beach, with free bibles and all. I'm recovering Catholic so I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I appreciate the hard work and detail of the sand sculpture. I took the first picture diagonally to make the photo feel as if I was laying in the sand. If I had a lens embedded in my head and didn't have to worry about salt and sand screwing up my equipment that is exactly what I would have done. It was cold out, but having the waves brush my nose would have made me happy :)

Did you make that sculpture in the sand? amazing.

Picture one is beautiful. More evocative for me then the direct shot of the sunrise, and I love the diagonal cut of the frame.
