Thoughts

As soon as I, walking down the street, saw a strange man sitting directly on the windowsill, I decided to share with you some more views.

This is not a quiet courtyard, but is quite wide and lively street.

I love such characters. I immediately imagine that this is an artist with a rebellious and troubled soul. Perhaps he is looking for a concept for a new picture, or perhaps preoccupied with thoughts about the world and the meaning of his life in this world. But my thoughts are too romantic, I guess.

What do you think about it?

Did you notice the ghostly images in the glass above his head?
There are 2 ladies standing shoulder to shoulder- looking at you. They are wearing fur coats.

Well, the left one appears to me rather like a dog's face :) Goodness, I've never thought about those stained patterns as live creatures until you pointed that out.

It looks totally human to me,
She is standing front, and there is a lady behind her shoulder to shoulder, so the image is taken from the profile with the first one in front and the next one by her inside shoulder facing the same direction.
I can see the fur coats and hats too.

He had a dream last night, that a beautiful photographer would come and take his portrait, so he sat, waiting...hoping... to make his dreams come true...

He hardly noticed that he was filmed, of course, but it could find a reflection in his next dream then...
After some years, this window is already boarded up and now I always feel kind of nostalgic for the times of the open window and a man in its frame.

He pretended to not notice, he saw you coming and felt your presence and wanted to appear as if he was oblivious for the sake of your pictures....the mysterious photographer haunts his dreams and he's waiting for her to notice him sitting in a different windowsmile

If I accept this idea as a guide for action, the city will lose is calmness and peace hiding out from a restless girl, wandering across the streets and looking into the windows, behind their curtains :)

maybe the city needs to lose it's calmness, but this girl is unconsciously  learning the art of seeing, and isn't interested what is behind the drawn curtains, but what plainly reveals itself.

But only in case it's worth to keep people pretending while some girl is trying to convert her craft of looking into the art of seeing...

developing the art of seeing is priceless...and worth it...smile

Then it gains a tiny tinge of selfishness :)

I think he is contemplating cleaning the room, but deciding to leave it for another day!
Great images!

Yes, he looks like a man who went against of usual plans and just has rest. :)

Fantastic captures of this every day, yet not ordinary scene. He's a creature of habit - it's his routine to sit there thinking about what lies ahead of him as he starts his day, and always with a cup of coffee & a smoke.

I love the story behind the pictures. :)
...or maybe this man has to be always neatly and officially dressed for work and is often very busy, so when he's finally alone he just enjoys his relaxing moments and doesn't care about anything. ;)

Mafalda says the things so well ! Usually women say things better than men can do ... :)
... A cigarete in his left hand ... a cup of coffee in right ... Hot weather ... the best view on the street ... he is perhaps dreaming about a romantic young woman walking with a camera in the other side of the street :))

I like the way you think & see.....I agree with your imaginings....I'm always looking for the romantic and unusual, everywhere I cast my eyes......I'm pretty new at this hobby too, (at 71-years of age) but, as they say: "Better late than never".....right? Thanks for the "following". I'll be looking forward to your fine offerings.......The hobby is such a wonderful way to preserve cherished moments.....Cheers!

Sit, Wait, Wish
As I sit and wait and wish,
For the girl I wish to sit,
And wait and wish and kiss with me,
I sit I wait and wish.
