Ahh, Puerto Rico hasn't lost its charm for me. I am having a blast here. My first week has been wonderful. I have enjoyed being able to relax after a really tough semester. This past week I have done alot but in a very slow, relaxed manner. Not only have I been taking it easy with my pace, I haven't had to do anything strenuous since I got here. Nothing! I've been to the beach a few times, been to coffee shops, did a little exploring of Mayaguez, went grocery shopping… you get the idea. One of the best experiences I have had so far was also a sad occasion, the goodbye party for the owners of the house I am staying at who are moving to Florida. Though I am sad to see this awesome couchsurfing couple leave, the party was a great experience. There were about fifteen people at this party, all but a couple were Puerto Rican. I got to use my Spanish, eat Puerto Rican food, and hang out with a bunch of really lively people. It was fantastic! I also met Ana, one of Mar's friends, and she is going to meet with me to practice Spanish. I am so excited!
