Theme: Cozy "Reading" Corners - Day 82

All our classrooms have cozy little areas for reading. The idea is to accustom students to viewing reading as an enjoyable and relaxing pastime, and nurture a lifelong love for reading. Some use it for this, while others don't. But it really adds a nice feel to the the overall atmosphere in the classroom.

Kinder reading corner. This teacher has two of this little glider chairs.

This is the little reading corner in my 5th grade classroom.

      Great shots! I love to sit in the corner and read somtimes. I remember that as a kid.

      How cool...I *love* my reading corner...so cozy & comforting. Kids love a good reading corner as well, helps their love for books bloom :-)

      Happy Birthday...wanna trade ages???? I almost remember 40....and actually life has gotten just a bit better every year since - so enjoy!!
      Love the cozy reading photo's....great colors and who can resist plopping down in a bean bag with their favorite book???

      oh absolutely. i started reading in the womb so this was never an issue for me lol but sooo many kids miss out on reading. it's such an excellent way to get away, learn, relax etc. this is great! and love the colors. you get an A+ for this set! ~_^

      Well, now that's just cool. I wish we had had a cozy reading nook when we were in school. I don't ever remember being encouraged to read much, come to think of it. Thank goodness I loved to anyway. Cute ladybug beanbags!
