Sweet Revenge...

“Living well is the best revenge.” ~ George Herbert

How fitting to find this lovely little place during my first day of aimless meandering. One of my all time favourite patisseries in Vancouver is also called Sweet Revenge [sweet-revenge.ca]! (Which reminds me that I need to pay it a visit sometime soon…)

This place was really lovely…small, cute, decent lunch menu and killer cupcakes. How sweet indeed! I really needed the sugar…was tuckered, hungry and that in turn makes me uber cranky. I so did NOT ♥ NYC at this point…

Spent the morning traipsing between B&H and 17th Street Photo trying to negotiate a price for my new toy. Success eventually came…so hungry by that time. I have a tendency of wandering around until I find something that appeals to me…often not having a clue what I want for food. I think everything works out in life as it should b/c I ended up here at Sweet Revenge [sweetrevengenyc.com].

Wasn't super inspired for photographing either b/c I was still tired from lack of zzz's. Thankfully I came across the Lego store which is just the coolest. Who doesn't like Lego?!

So it really was a random day where I ended up going all over the map. Really put my lovely new camera through its paces and super duper pleased!

Newark Liberty International Airport Station

Sometime around midnight-ish…on my way to Manhattan. Why the hell didn't I catch a cab? I like to live like the locals when I get into any city. It's also a chance to observe the local characters. And believe me, they come crawling out of the woodwork at night…

Oh halloooo lovely…and where have you been hiding? Welcome to my ever growing family of cameras…I think you're going to fit right in.

Meet my super duper purty new camera…for the days where I don't want to or may not be allowed to take my regular beasts with me. So gorgeous…very much a part of my life now;o)

Cooper Union Building

I will most definitely be back again…cupcakes were wonderful here…

The Huh What Show! [intermixgallery.com]

Gah…wish I had time to see this one…

New York Public Library [en.wikipedia.org]

LOVE it here!!! This is one of the most beautiful buildings…

Radioactive [exhibitions.nypl.org]

This is such a fantastic exhibit on the life & love of Marie & Pierre Curie. A must see if you are in NYC. It's only on until April 17.

The ever beautiful Grand Central Terminal [en.wikipedia.org]

Saint Thomas Church [en.wikipedia.org]…

…I actually just needed to warm up for a few minutes…

Lego Store… [stores.lego.com]

So amazingly cool!!!

Build your own Lego figure…some little kid was gnawing on these & I really didn't want to build one after that…YUCK!!!

These were just fantastic little scenes behind small windows! Amazing what you can do with a little imagination & coloured blocks!

So this post immediately is awesome thanks to the amount of LEGO involved.

But I also have a new found interest in NY. Very cool.

I would like to visit B&H one day; seems like they have everything...

Oh, and Chicago plays Vancouver AGAIN this year in the playoffs [starting Wednesday]... So game on! ;)
