When I walked into the classroom I found a tent to set up. It was the most confusing tent I have ever set up in my life. But I got it figured out. Then I filled it will all the pillows and stuffed animals in the room and the kids loved it.
You know you are not in the struggling part of Detroit when you see fancy diaper bags. It was a different experience being in a neighborhood with houses that cost more than I will make most of my life combined.
After VBS we walked downtown and visited an pretty awesome yarn shop. (I took no pictures because I was too amazed by the yarn). Then I hopped the bus and headed to a fabric store a few miles away. It was nothing fancy, but it was someplace different than what I am used to around here.
After I got back from traveling the city, we turned on some music and went to work in the kitchen. We started with some spaghetti, because what is a trip without it. Then put together some peach cobbler to warm up the apartment and our bellies.
We also spent more the evening playing Exploding Kittens and watching Netlfix while I worked on another project.
