Sitting on the edge of the world

In Ireland it seems that everything changes with the weather. That's why you can visit the same place on multiple occasions and see something different with each time. Thus I've seen the Cliffs of Moher on two very different days. On July 10 it was raining really hard, it was windy and mostly foggy, while on the 26th it was pretty much clear, although not sunny.  Everything was more eerie, yet animated on the 10th and really still and quiet on the 26th.

In the distance

A view of the tower house on Moher Cliffs, through the fog and heavy rain.

Cow Date

Met this adventurous couple very high up the cliffs and so close to the edge.

Visitors

Equipped with raincoats and hoods, everyone was going to check out the view from the tower.

Tower House

And there it stood, high and mighty, to keep watch over the cliffs.

Watchtower

And also to keep an eye on the people coming and going, day after day.

So close

''Time weighs down on you like an old, ambiguous dream. You keep on moving, trying to sleep through it. But even if you go to the ends of the earth, you won't be able to escape it. Still, you have to go there - to the edge of the world. There's something you can't do unless you get there...'' – Haruki Murakami, ''Kafka on the Shore''

A cow's life

Cows grazing quietly on a cold, rainy day.

Cliffs of Moher

And when the weather clears up, you get this amazing view.

The Brave

Although it looks so lonely, I think it is quite brave.

Ocean and cliffs

Nothing like the ocean's blue and the moss's green.
