Since Time's Gone By
by Nat Yonce

Lonely Jazz Man.
Man of Jazz.
Man for Jazz.

The solitary piano player
Rattles off old standards
In the hotel lobby
As the busy patrons pass.

He breaks between numbers,
But hears what he expects -
No applause.
That's because
He is out of his time.
The place is wrong.

He plays for no one,
Even though he is not alone.
He plays for no one,
Not even himself.

Nimble fingers -
Blood to
Black and White.
Bled by
Green.

The most interesting hotel lobby I've ever seen. It makes me feel uneasy as well, but I like feeling uneasy at times.

I thought that tiny black rectangular device(?) on the right looks like an ipod player! Love the reflections of the cool blue lights. Like fire and ice! And nothing quite like a beautiful soothing music to get me all set for the day ahead! Nice post!

Such a lonely feeling to this post. Empty hallway in cold blue colours and melancholic music... I can feel the silence of no applause.

J'aime la mélancolie que vous savez créer en associant cette photo et ce morceau d'anthologie... Merci An tonio
