Building in flames

Moving Pictures

building in flames
stock on fire
if ready to jump
you're the third-floor survivor
bystanders catch you
on your way down
smile before you smash
to the ground
crash in a car
die of starvation
get killed on the beach
take a shower of napalm
get shot in front of cameras
and you will die twice
get shot by cameras
and your death will survive
photographer smiles
his product is perfect
such a moving picture
now he can make career

Um céu em chamas que embeleza com o seu fogo mesmo as fachadas mais baneis! Cores fantásticas.

one of their better early songs... :-)

i remember this song being more impressive in one of it's life versions from their 1982 album "The Name of This Band Is Talking Heads"; david byrne's voice there not so tweeky and the whole band kindo of jams along more enthusiastically... oddly enough, i can't find that version on youtube. so instead, here is the insanely slow and good version of al green's "take me to the river" from that same album :-)
