Smoky skies - Industrial revolution

An old man stays in place
By Audrey Fernandez

The coal turns into smoky skies
Our nations minds turn to green
Metal giants overtake the nation
As the old man stays in place

The horse stopped galloping
Children's hand start to bleed
Control dictates their minds
Robots pick up the pace
As the old man stays in place

Destruction of the old is a trend
New buildings and construction seems to never end
Everyone for their own
No one had an idea to loan
As the old man stays in place

Competitions are first priority
Traditions aren’t on top
Innovation happened too fast
History can’t stop
But the old man stays in place

But a very colorful revolution at that! The color tones are lovely. They make an industrial revolution look nice!

wow what a bizarre and oddly beautiful landscape of industry on the coastline. makes me sad for the old man (and for my children too)

I can't believe I like this photo Antonio, but I do. Normally, seeing all that pollution being shot out into the atmosphere just pisses me off and I can't find anything good about it. Your photo is very appealing though.

I watched Planet of the Apes (the original, one of my favs) recently and your post made me think of that movie. Love all the color in the image and the perfect word accompaniment. Great post.

Luckily for us, that's (mostly) water vapour, but I wouldn't go swimming just below.
