Ivory horn of Africa
From which wine is served
To young and old has become
A commoner.
In the city of her ancestors
She has deserted the land of her birth
En-route a path, unknown to her folks;
Destructive, o route, misleading.
Listen! O people of the world, of Africa:
Children sit helplessly till sun sets and moon emerges,
Children, living within tired bodies,
Who shall overturn this curse?
Africa must not die
Like a plant dying by the rivers of water.

Africa is the epitome of Beauty-
beauty with a name, nature exemplified.
The place of peace and freedom,
Freedom to explore possibilities,
Possibilities so divine.

Let the weak arise!
Let the strong hold them up!!
Let every piece be picked up,
Let every weary heart be inspired.
Arise and be on guard-
The flag must not drop dead.

Face to face

The Kiss

Let me alone, go away

Wherever you live
You'll find no one can take away
Whatever you feel inside
Your black ivory soul

A 5 vai direitinha para favoritas!! Como seria se o elefante, em vez de atacar um colega, se virasse para o carro? Acho que isso não está fora de questão!?

your last photo is amazing. it is so ancient and reminds me of a wooly mammoth or some elephant ancestor. wonderful!

the poem reminds me of how far removed i am from such a place as Africa and the elephants and all that is there. your posts have really educated me and made me think. well done.
