JAR OF CLAY

jar of clay
by Sofia Paderes

jar of clay
holding,
cracking,
thirsting.
unfinished,
fickle,
and imperfect.
thirsty soul
craving spirit
searching always
for the Potter.
a mere wave,
whisper,
vapor,
soon to pass.
a jar of clay
am
i.

beautiful and minimal. just lovely. and i like the idea that the poem speaks of - a jar of clay being alive with spirit.

C'est de la terre que l'on tire les meilleurs choses... et je pense aux mains du potier s'agitant avec agilité sur son tour...

Beautiful post! The hands of the potter made it with such care.

Bela foto António. Faz-me lembrar os potes que existiam em casa da minha avó.

I find it amazing that such a beautiful and sensitive (and useful) object can be made out of mud!
