The Laxminarayan Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Laxminarayan. Laxminarayan usually refers to Vishnu. The building of the temple, inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, took from 1933 to 1939. The side temples are dedicated to Shiva, Krishna and Buddha. The temple is one of the major attractions of Delhi and attracts thousands of devotees on the Hindu festivals of Janmashtami and Diwali.

We arrived and started immediately a tour around Old Delhi. I didn't have any sleep at all, so the pictures of this day can be a bit blurred :-))



The swastika is an ancient symbol that has been found worldwide, but it is especially common in India. Its name comes from the Sanskrit word svasti (sv = well; asti = is), meaning good fortune, luck and well-being. The swastika is most commonly used as a charm to bring good fortune
