Frecha da Mizarela

Situated in Freita Mountain, this 75m high waterfall over Caima river is one of the highest in Europe. It is an exceptional natural monument that can be contemplated from several viewpoints or from the river itself next to Albergaria da Serra village. There are also well-signed walking trails leading to the bottom of the valley at the base of the waterfall.

I like the different perspectives - it lets us see more of the details than just the overall scene.

I love this rugged terrain.
There must have been some amazing earth quakes & perhaps volcanic activities, in that area, way back when.....
Nice series!

Looks deserted - beautiful area for the fit and healthy!
I particularly like the wild flowers growing in the rock face.
