The Human Seasons

a poem by John Keats

Four Seasons fill the measure of the year;

There are four seasons in the mind of man:

He has his lusty Spring, when fancy clear

Takes in all beauty with an easy span:

He has his Summer, when luxuriously

Spring's honied cud of youthful thought he loves

To ruminate, and by such dreaming high

Is nearest unto heaven: quiet coves

His soul has in its Autumn, when his wings

He furleth close; contented so to look

On mists in idleness--to let fair things

Pass by unheeded as a threshold brook.

He has his Winter too of pale misfeature,

Or else he would forego his mortal nature

Where do I begin? The first shot is so strong - and solitary! Your wife's image of the man's face is riveting!! And the last one is breath-taking in it's cold austerity!!!

"I had become the centripetal In the windy spaces; where Philosophical mumblers sought An axiom and A sign. I became the season’s yield, The chosen, and sought honour amongst Sheaves."

from "Melancholiandesire" by Gilbert Morris

I have enjoyed seeing the world through your eyes. Thanks 😊

#5 must be static electricity :-)) (just kidding, I also love this image). #3 undoubtedly. #2 - always present in this crazy trip. #1 was the picture that inspired the title, in addition to the weeklytheme, of course. Once again, many thanks my friend.

Very good... I particularly love #1. The human included in the scene is so tiny that we get an incredible sense of the vastness of their surroundings. Great entry into this week's theme! I'm sure you'll have inspired other members to enter too. Thanks Antonio.
