Sonnet 75: So Are You To My Thoughts As Food To Life –

Poem by William Shakespeare

So are you to my thoughts as food to life,

Or as sweet-seasoned showers are to the ground;

And for the peace of you I hold such strife

As 'twixt a miser and his wealth is found.

Now proud as an enjoyer, and anon

Doubting the filching age will steal his treasure;

Now counting best to be with you alone, T

hen bettered that the world may see my pleasure;

Sometimes all full with feasting on your sight,

And by and by clean starvèd for a look;

Possessing or pursuing no delight

Save what is had, or must from you be took.

Thus do I pine and surfeit day by day,

Or gluttoning on all, or all away.

Great set (as usual 😄) and the sun drying tomatoes pic are great. I love the slight angle on the last one

Nothing very unusual here, just an ordinary day at the butcher :-)

Aw man! This isn't something you see everyday...yuck! When my husband and I lived in South Korea we'd see pigs heads and other gross things but the cow...wow!

It's always a bit shocking, but it's the real world around here. Thanks Stephanie

Seoul...my husband was stationed at Yongsan. We had a great time there exploring...seems like a lifetime ago as we were there 1997-1998. Where did you live?

#2... love the clarity and creepiness! It's quite hard to look at, but it's a great shot.
Could be the album cover for a death metal band?!

I'm sure one of those death metal bands wouldn't mind to have one of these in a cover :-))) I know they are a bit creepy but that's how life is here. Thanks Ben

Yes, it is how life is there... some of my favourite photos from Uzbekistan are of a family hacking big live carp fish to death. Very bloody scenes!
