I just heard a little twitter tweet, so here's a my little wish for you on your special day, dearest Angilblue heart

I dag er det

I dag er det Antonio Gils fødselsdag
Hurra, hurra, hurra!
han sikkert sig en gave får
som han har ønsket sig i år
med dejlig chokolade og kager til.

Hvor smiler han hvor er han glad
Hurra, hurra, hurra!
men denne dag er også rar
for hjemme venter mor og far
med dejlig chokolade og kager til.

Og når han hjem fra arbejde går
Hurra, hurra, hurra!
så skal han hjem og holde fest
og dem, som kommer med som gæst
får dejlig chokolade og kager til.

Til slut vi råber højt i kor:
Hurra, hurra, hurra!
Gid Antonio Gil længe leve må
og sine ønsker opfyldt få
med dejlig chokolade og kager tilshaved ice

Although I do not understand a word of Danish (I'm Portuguese), I can sense this is a poem about my birthday, and so, dear Scribe all my thanks go to your sensibility and kindness dearest friend. (just for fun - when I translated this text to my mother language I LOL because it spoke about cows, sheep and so on)  smile

1 year, 4 months ago Edited
Scribe Replied to Antonio Gil 1 year, 4 months ago

ROFLAHHHHHAAAAHAAAAAAAa aaahhem... I'm so sorry.
All this time, I thought you were Danish. It has nothing to do
with farm animals though I love all animals. I have given
a translated version of one of my wishes at Andisaw's site,
but here's the one for this one:

Today it is Antonio Gil's birthday
Hurray, hurray, hurray!
He'll receive many presents
that he wished for the year
with lovely chocolates and cakes.
How he smiles how he is happy
Hurray, hurray, hurray!
But this day is also nice
because at home waits his lovely wife
with lovely chocolates and cakes.
And when he comes home from work
Hurray, hurray, hurray!
He is going to have a party
and the guests who are attending
will have nice chocolates and cakes.
At last we will sing loudly in choir:
Hurray, hurray, hurray!
Long live Antonio Gil
and have all his wishes come true
with lovely chocolates and cakescake

Kyrgyzstan! I had a friend who traveled there and his images were incredible (as are yours!) Would you say that it's a safe place for a woman traveling alone (it's on my future trip radar:)

1 year, 7 months ago Edited
Antonio Gil Replied to Paula Wallis 1 year, 7 months ago

First of all let me say Kyrgyzstan is a hidden gem, one of the most beautiful countries I've ever visited. Regarding your question I should say we've met two Israeli girls, three American girls and one German girl travelling alone. I believe safety is in the numbers here. This is not a tourist oriented country (fortunately) and so there aren't many infrastructures around (hospitals, for example). We usually hired a driver to go from A to B, and so on. And if we wanted to travel around point B for instance we hired a taxi or some driver the hotel owner knew. I should say everything is very very cheap here, and people are extremely kind. The main problem is driving. The probability of being injured in a car crash is huge.
