♫♫ Ars memoria ♫♫

The exhibition project Ars Memoria is based on thought processes, imagination, and the power of memory. The Round Tower’s helical architecture creates a memory wheel, where one can wander and place knowledge. The exhibition combines contemporary artistic expression with ancient thoughts and ideas, by operating between past and future encyclopedic systems, body and brain, technology and science.

Only now.
Memories like threads
bring us back to a stage
for new tales to weave
and old ones to leave.

Only nowleaves

Lord of the Rings would be a very appropriate title to this post smile

I find this sad! Mainly because the concept isn't necessarily true. With the technical knowledge of today the old art forms have died. I am thinking mainly of my father's knowledge as a horologist, his craftmanship is no longer required, his knowledge useless inn today's world. Mxx

Your father's knowledge may be lost but it wasn't at all wasted, because others built on it to achieve evolution. As Newton said in a letter to Robert Hooke: "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants"

Brilliant work, Amigo! The circles, the compositions, lighting & perspectives are as artful as the subjects, themselves! Bravo!

What an interesting post..the thought of wandering in a circle leaving knowledge (for others to find?) is a fascinating concept.
Dark circles and light circles, getting to know all about someone by walking through their circle...this deserves a story!
#5 is my favorite of this series grinning

I agree with you on the concept of this exhibition, and the ambient music was great too. #5 wasn't easy to edit. Thanks for liking it smile
