a thousand waterfalls

a thousand waterfalls

ROAD WITH FIVE WATERFALLS

a poem by Walter Pavlich

Light in the trees, dark light.

Shadows the colour of moss

at dusk, a spreading earth velour

which holds its scent close.

Crows with green deep

in their throats call out

over roosted ferns.

Waterfalls carry the first cupfuls

of night over the slip of the cliffs

I never knew Havnarlgid is a mountain,
brimming with free-flowing waterfalls,
by what must be homes of fishermen,
whose boats and round nets sprawl
the sumptuous lakes, the sea's gardens.

Do people of this water mountain,
ever shower and melt into these falls?
I would, and with a reverent, "Amen"
I'd absolutely have myself a chilly ball
then sit by the bridge that harkens
expressions of beauty, joy and wisdom sweat drops

They could shower into these falls only if they are drunk because the water is icy cold smile Just kidding my friend. Your words are always so intense and meaningful.

blue heart Just take a sip of its waters, Angil.
I'd love to know how it felt, drinking waters of life,
streaming from this magical mountain, cupped in
your bare hands, feeling it flow into your body ice cream

I did drink water straight from a glacier in Iceland, water in its purest form, and it tasted divine. Thanks again for such pure words my friend

It’s like hundreds of creeks, carved in the side of the mountain.

I would really enjoy hiking and exploring there.

The picture is deceiving. Actually the waterfalls are further apart from the houses than it seems. And yes it is beautiful. Thanks dear CRI
