Takeoff

Our jet storms down the runway, tilts up, lifts:
We’re airborne, and each second we see more—
Outlying hangars, wetlands with a pond
That flashes like sheened silver and, beyond,
An estuary and the frozen drifts
Of breakers wide and white along a shore.

One watches, cheek in palm. How little weight
The world has as it swiftly drops away!
How quietly the mind climbs to this height
As now, the seat-belt sign turned off, a flight
Attendant rises to negotiate
The steep aisle to a curtained service bay.

#4-#7 are my favorites. In #4 I adore the blue/greens in the water It is a nice pop of color in the image.

I like the accuracy of picture 3. Do you post process any of the pictures? Drone photography is the future. How was there a window there? The clarity is fantastic. You managed to convey the grandeur of the place. I feel as though I may be there, if those window frames didn't creep in, I wouldn't know any better. I also felt pulled into the settings of the pictures slightly, into the landscapes, drawn into them, which is an interesting quality you have been able to do. Picture 4 is seductive with the turquoise and picture 5 the clouds are fab. And cool poetry link too.

I post process all pictures, especially because all pictures are RAW. You can see the helicopter windows in next post smile Much appreciated comment my friend. You are very kind in your appreciation

I scrolled so many times up and down until I became seasick! I don't now how you did it. I messed up every single picture during my last flight in a really small plane, because of the window.
#4 & #5 - incredible beautiful sea and sky - very interesting weather phenomenon.

One of the tricks is pressing the lens against the window to avoid reflections (easier said than done with all the shaking inside this helicopter) . I really appreciate your comment Sigrid, thank you so much.

I did it, but the window had so many scratches. I sat on the wrong side in the plane and had therefore problems with the sun too.

Gracias

You wouldn't dare take pictures of humans like I do, I wouldn't dare ride a helicopter and take pictures like you do. These are FANTASTIC!!  So majestic. The colors, the clouds, the sharpness of the images. Really, really nice captures.

When I start editing them I was a bit sad because the early pictures were not OK (not easy to take pictures through a window inside a shaking flying object), but the final result (after editing) was not so bad. Thanks for your support my friend

Hahahaha. No, of course not. I think there is some softness in excess in some of them I couldn't solve.
