Walk the line

Walk the line

♫♫ Danay Suárez - Individual ♫♫

Allie Dotson Aug 2018

Not born the way we are

I was not born with fear
fear was put into me
I was not born with insecurities
society skewed my mind to believe In beauty

I was born free, curious and untrained from formal normality
why must an individual become
parallel
normal is varied
so why do we try to be alike
and we try to fit into a illusion that a society creates
a society that changes and grows
but how is so
people can't be different and unique
a double standard we so apparently have to keep

we were born at different times and different hours
we are raised in different places and situations
do not let yourself be finalized by an acceptance
and become one of many of society's prisoners
pressure might turn coal into a diamond
but for others it shall break them

Such powerful words about humanity.  Beautiful captures of their souls too.

#1 - I was attracted by the light coming from within.
#3 - My next step - to be surrounded by models smile

surrounded by models? Be careful what you are wishing for! Most models look like the skeletons I had to dig up.
Afterwards I stored them for years UNDER my bed.

What I really love about your photos in this series are the different facial expressions, accompanied by such interesting settings... they evoke a great sense of humility and pridefulness....Great eye my friend!

Angil,
I couldn't help but be drawn to the man's feet in #2.
I sat and stared at them and viewed it as a crop of JUST the lower section of the photo (from just above the hands down).
What a powerful story telling image with the focus on the feet!+1

Antonio,
You're welcome!
It's not that you "should have" cropped it, because it's neat how it is.
But it is a very powerful story cropped.
If you get a chance crop it and post it for me, I'd love to see it, and it would be interesting to see if others comment on it.

You're welcome, Your series is interesting!
And you ARE pursuing pixel perfection...smile
I want to find the beginning and go through the whole thing.

Ok. I already know how to crop it, and the final result is interesting. Thank you so much for the hint my friend

You are so very welcome! That is the fun in sharing, we get to see our images through the eyes of someone else occasionally.
You could edit that blog post and ADD the cropped image right above or below the original!
(then I would get to see it)!
Glad you appreciated my thoughts on it, some people might not.
