Vw

a Poem by Smoky Hoss

Why the immense popularity
of the remarkable Volkswagen Beetle
I ask myself in the quiet moment
of a wandering little daydream.
The answer, of course, is obvious,
"Herbie".
Or, then again, perhaps
it is after all because
they are so darn cute and cuddly.
Rather like a grizzly bear cub;
but, unlike the cub
they never grow large, loud
and fearsome.
In this world
to remain forever cute and cuddly
is not only an oddity,
it is simply sublime.
The sublime dream of a
vociferous-world.

#1kind of makes me wonder about the quality of the services advertised here, on such a poorly maintained structure.......no????
When I was a poor struggling college student I bought an old VW bug for $300, drove it for 4 years & sold it for $300!!! I loved it! I always felt that I was driving a toy, rather than a car.....
Wonderful images as always, You Two!!!
Thanks & have a great weekend!

ps. kool song & verse!!!

#1 I don't know if here they see it that way. In our culture that means no customers at all for sure.
I took my driving lessons in one of these and it was a funny car to drive. And I saw the movie "Herbie" of course 🚗🚗🚗🚗
Thanks dear Jay

No problem my friend. I use Photoshop raw treatment and then topaz labs studio 2. Topaz labs is a wonderful asset for a photographer.

Love this post; the poem, the song and the photos. #1 definitely works in B&W even for me who is a color person.I have become more and more attracted to "busy" photos in B&W. The VW is gorgeous. The perspective you took, the edit and the enlarged size on Pb truly works. Kudos!!
