Snowy Egret

a poem by Mary Oliver

A late summer night and the snowy egret
has come again to the shallows in front of my house

as he has for forty years.
Don’t think he is a casual part of my life,

that white stroke in the dark.

Thank you my friend. And this lake is right at the centre of the city. Just imagine how many animals are there outside of crowded places. Happy week Jay

The first photo is especially beautiful. Like the Muscovy ducks. I have several photos of them.

Breathtaking photo #1, I just sat there and stared at it for a while before scrolling. Theresa did a very nice job with the edit. It really is a very pretty sight.
#4 love the glow works perfectly with the posture.
#% needs to see a dermatologist. Those are some nasty looking red warts but even so very pretty bird.
Loved these series!

Teresa takes the pictures and I edit them. She gave me freedom to do what I want 😎 And we saw all these creatures in a very short period of time. The diversity is amazing. Thanks dear Camellia
