♫♫ John Mayall: I'm Your Witchdoctor ♫♫

The Witch Doctor

Face for fading music

Disappearing in the distant

Those that stood still

Were called forth by the mystic

To answer a question

To answer the inquisition

For this was not the path

That they had been thinking

The witch doctor stood fast

His crazy eye twitching

He spoke slow...

"Your path... You will be switching!"

Batting his lashes

His vibes bellowed long

Their initial reactions:

Over looked and over drawn

With a wave of his hand

His visions showed real

Finally their eyes opened

Now looking to deal

The shaman then laughed

And threw up his arms

The skies began spinning

Bringing down the stars

The chosen few looked all around

And before long at each other

Awe lost in disbelief

One right after another

While the mystic's laughs grew hysterical

The rest fell to their knees

For no one knew the awful truth

Behind what the witch doctor sees

He was a very strange character Russel. He wanted money in exchange of casting a good omen smile

First 4 shots so lovely, green, and serene - then yikes...what a startling portrait of this man!

Really great landscape, I like especially #4 because of the perspective.

Antonio, No one can scroll your images without stopping still on #5- incredible detail and character. As I gazed into your images I felt compelled not to ask why on any of them- rather just appreciate the depth and nature of the images. The only word of praise for these images is- Wow!

Love these! Could you smell the tea as it was growing?
I find it incredible that all these leaves can be tended by hand!

#5 looks like he hasn't slept in months &/or been drunk for months........
Working many years in "mental health" venues.......I've seen my "fair share" of "folks" like these....
Seems like the "looney" will always be with us, no matter what place or time........
Every culture has their share.....no???
Good choice of verse & song for this "encounter".......grinning

No, there is no particular smell coming out from these leaves. Just the good smell of fresh herbs.
They pick up only the tender and fresh leaves located on top of the plants. They have very trained eyes and hands.
That guy was a very peculiar character - there's always one in our trips smile
Thanks for such a kind comment my friend

Talk about blood shot eyes, but what a portrait! Really nice closeup. I also like #2 I don't know if its the edit or just how the light fell but my eyes go straight to the brownish dirt area which stands out among all the green. As always another great series.

Those eyes are definitely in need of help. Tea field very interesting. Reminds me of a story I heard of an Indian chief that drank several gallons of tea throughout the day. He died that night in his teapee. Why do I remember this joke from my early years but can't remember one I heard 12 hours ago. lol Great photos.
