♫♫ Galle Face Green Colombo ♫♫

The Galle Face Green is currently a 5 hectare ribbon strip of land between Galle Road and the Indian Ocean which is now the largest open space in Colombo. This is a popular destination for children, vendors, teenagers, lovers, kite flyers, merrymakers and all those who want to indulge in their favorite pastimes next to the sea under the open sky. On Saturday and Sunday evenings, the land is busy with day trippers, picnickers and food vendors selling cooked crabs and prawns, slices of mango with pepper and salt.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Love seeing all the kites, and #8 is such a lovely portrait! But my favorite has to be #6.

Yes I did. Funny story though. I asked them a beer, but they said this was a Muslim street restaurant and they could not sell alcohol, but the owner said - No worry - and he went to buy a beer in the next street restaurant and served the beer wrapped on paper so that no one could see it was alcohol. BTW, the food was wonderful and spicy. Thanks dear friend

#5 and #6 are my favorites in this set. What is the ship blowing out in #1? Is it just water?

I believe it's sand from the bottom of the sea as well. Thanks for the comment Benny
