Video - Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque

Jami-Ul-Alfar Mosque is a historic mosque in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is located on Second Cross Street in Pettah. The mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Colombo and a popular tourist site in the city.

It is a hybrid style of architecture, that draws elements from native Indo-Islamic and Indian architecture, and combines it with the Gothic revival and Neo-classical styles
Before other landmarks were built, some claim that the Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque was recognised as the landmark of Colombo by sailors approaching the port.

Such a vibrant set. The colors and design of the mosque are so eye-catching! Love the framing on #6, and great street captures as well.

The Mosque is beautiful and this is another great series. Reminds me of chaos organized with the street shots.

A blaze of color and humanity! The commercial signs are almost dizzying! Excellent work here!

I so agree with you. Too much information, too many stimuli to me smile I prefer nature. Thanks Bruce

Perfect framing on #6, the arch brings out the design of the interior walls. Those streets are slightly too crowded. smile
