There's always a helping hand when needed

Everyone makes a line and no one tries to go first than the other

♫♫ Khruangbin - People Everywhere ♫♫

People

Poem by Jean Toomer

To those fixed on white,
White is white,
To those fixed on black,
It is the same,
And red is red,
Yellow, yellow-
Surely there are such sights
In the many colored world,
Or in the mind.
The strange thing is that
These people never see themselves
Or you, or me.

Are they not in their minds?
Are we not in the world?
This is a curious blindness
For those that are color blind.
What queer beliefs
That men who believe in sights
Disbelieve in seers.

O people, if you but used
Your other eyes
You would see beings.

As I'm the neighbor of Japan, I used to visit Japan and all the pictures look quite familiar to me. They all remind me of those memories I had in Tokyo. I thought  it does not make sense to get lost as a grown up but I got lost several times in Shinjuku station. It's crazy there. smile

I didn't get lost because we had someone guiding us through that maze, otherwise I wouldn't leave the station smile

Good for you. Yes, it's a maze. I got lost myself every time I get there...smile

I just got back from a trip to Tokyo! These are stunning and take me right back to where I was a couple weeks ago. Your photos are always so beautiful and realistic that I feel like I'm standing right there with you.

Places like this overwhelm me, but they are fascinating to study in photos. I love how you framed #6 with the blurred face in the foreground, and of course an excellent choice of poem!

Me too. I was almost dragged by people everywhere we went in Tokyo. #6 is my favorite photo of the bunch too. Thanks dear Bethany

Firstly, Antonio, your images are always first class! These are not any exception. You know your images are spot on when your viewers talk about your subject matter and not your shutter speed! Your images stop us and make us comment- they generate talking points and discussion. With that said- your images capture another world where personal space and individuality changes dimension. Well done my friend.

After reading those words all I can do is to thank you deeply Bruce. And try to deserve your compliment. Thank you so much

Which city in Japan is this, Antonio?

It's written in the title smile Tokyo.

#5 made my heart stop for a second....the amount of people is unbelievable. It's like a herd of sheep being shepherded. Did you feel crowded at all or are the way you captured the photos creating that feeling?

The feeling is very real. Nothing to do with the way I took the photo. Every time I stopped to take a photo I would lost sight of my wife immediately because she was swallowed by the crowd. It's a different world indeed.

And for me too. I prefer mountains and great nature spaces. But I had to know a different reality. Thanks Carl

Yes I agree; yin and yang- need to experience the crowded city life to appreciate nature and wide open spaces.
Enjoy and stay safe.
