Hollow Tree

A poem by Steve Still Standing

I’m just a hollow tree
on less than hallowed ground.

My sap is drained
and pain, profound.

Within this forest,
where my cries ring loud

I’m just a hollow tree,
one of many, around.

Just a single, hollow tree,

praying to be
saved, and finally found.

I don't like spiders, but I do like the spider picture. It looks like abstract art - really cool.
I really like the poem as well. I'm sure it has a different meaning for each person, including the author.
But for me, it reminds me of my spiritual journey with Jesus. He used trees to symbolize people in the bible at times and the "praying to be saved and finally found" is what He does for people who are tired of being lost and finds them in the middle of their heartaches and pain. Then, He brings healing and restoration to our weary souls if we choose to put our trust in Him. It also reminds me of a prayer that says, "hallowed be thy name". Thanks for sharing!

Jay beat me on #1. Truly does grab one's attention. #2 always amazes me when I see the dogs in a stroller, never figured out whether the dogs are unable to walk or owners just feel more secure or.... Quite a mixture of photos but all fun to look at.I think my favorite one is #6 for some reason the monochrome makes the coolie's struggle more intense.

We saw lots of dogs in strollers like that one here in Japan. It's kind of cultural I think. Thank you Camellia
