Bedford River Festival...

Every two years Bedford has a River Festival along the banks of the River Ouse (pronounced Ooze), and they couldn't have picked a better weekend for it… it was hot and sunny and absolutely glorious… Yay at last Summer has come to England!

You cannot have an outing without at least one item of blue food to boost energy levels…

A large stuffed lion toy sleeps on top of a pile of driftwood guarding the river…

a boat coming to a lock… I thought it had a cute face!

The highlight of the day… we were buzzed by the most beautiful plane ever built (in my opinion)… the Spitfire!

      The boat does look like a cousin of Thomas the Tamk Engine LOL.

      Looks like fun, lets hope that the summer lasts at least until we have had our visit. Nice pics.
