After San Gimignano we decided to go for a quick visit to Siena, just to get an idea what the city is like.
About Siena I knew hardly anything, except the famous horserace on the bowl-shaped square.
When we got there I immeadietaley liked the city, maybe because it seemed much smaller than Florence, much more like an expanded village (that was my first impression; I don't know if in fact it is smaller)
And inside a surprise for me - an amazing cathedral, as impressive as Il Duomo, which, I have to admit, I hadn't known of.
But we were there only 2 hours, so I did not get a good bite into the city (if you know what I mean). Nonetheless, I was much impressed and I think I will come back there one day to get to know Siena a bit better.

The sky was really impressing that day.

I really liked this painting and the way it looked in the sun.

I had to take a photo like this - I am partial to shooting the sun.
