Borobodur in Monochrome

Sometime i use my IR convertible Camera to capture some scenes, I really liked the result, because it gives me a different feel and viewpoints. This is about, how i looked Borobudur in monochrome.

Borobudur,a 9th century Mahayana Buddhist temple in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. Builtin the 9th century during the reign of the Sailendra Dynasty. The monument consists of nine stacked platforms, sixsquare and three circular, topped by a central dome. The temple is decoratedwith 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. The central dome is surroundedby 72 Buddha statues, each seated inside a perforated stupa. It is the world'slargest Buddhist temple, as well as one of the greatest Buddhist monuments inthe world. It’s blends the Indonesian indigenous cult ofancestor worship and the Buddhist concept of attaining Nirvana. The temple alsodemonstrates the influences of Gupta art that reflects India's influence on theregion, yet there are enough indigenous scenes and elements incorporated tomake Borobudur uniquely Indonesian. The monument is both a shrine to the Lord Buddha and a place for Buddhist pilgrimage

The path to the temple, pilgrims use this path to reach the temple

Arupadhatu a formless world : This upper level of the temple has no reliefs

Relief which depict Budha gives blessing

Dhyana mudra : Concentration and meditation

Abhaya mudra : Courage, fearlessness

Stupa : is a mound-like or hemispherical structure, that is used as a place of meditation

NIkon D80, and using Tokina 11-16mm, I think this is the best lens for IR.
