Picking Up The Pieces

I have been off the internet for a few days due to circumstances beyond my control…….

Mother nature has been a little ill-tempered.

Southwestern Ontario was hit with a violent storm leaving quite a bit of damage in it's path….power outages everywhere, downed power lines, trees, and damages to homes and buildings.

Unfortunately our neighbours down in the US had been hit the hardest! Devastating Tornados have left hundreds dead and thousands homeless.

My prayers go out to those suffering in the aftermath …..
They will need strength and courage to “Pick Up The Pieces”

Downed trees and powerlines everywhere….

This tree was going to be cut down…….it came down by itself, just as a truck was driving by. It fell slightly off the road….whew…. that was close!

The winds picked up the roof and tossed it ……came crashing down in pieces scattering debris everywhere…..

The greenhouse glasses shattered …..the supports holding them buckled and glass flew then crashed to the ground…….

Picking Up The Pieces…..

You certainly have had an interesting experience. we have been commenting on how humans have great control over many things in nature, but not the weather. Luckily, you are safe. We keep saying we were lucky too. There were a lot of trees that came down but people were not hurt. You've created a good photo journalof your experience. I spent today cutting trees into firewood and luckily, had help who wanted to take it all away. The tree landed on the house roof but did little damage.
