Chocolate Almond Coconut Bars
A Sweet treat and so easy to make….
This is my shortened version of this recipe…
Get yourself one of those graham cracker all ready made pie crusts….
In a bowl pour a can of sweetened condensed milk and throw in a cup of shredded or flaked coconut. Give it a good stir until it's well blended. Spread the mixture over the pie crust and pop it in a pre-heated 350 degree oven. Bake for 18-20 min. until slightly brown.
In a microwavable bowl (I just use a glass measuring cup) combine 2 cups of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of peanut butter. Give it a stir and pop it in the microwave for 30- 60 seconds, a little longer if necessary until the chips are melted. Give it a good stir until it's all smooth and creamy.
Spread it over the warm coconut and graham pie.
Sprinkle some slivered almonds over top and refrigerate for a least 1 hour before serving….
Cut in very thin wedges as this is so rich that's all you'll want… Serve with a cup of tea or coffee
The longer version requires making the cracker crumb base …..
11/2 cups of graham crackers and 1/2 cup of melted butter.
Blend thouroughly and press into an ungreased 13x9 inch pan….

Aw. This looks yummy.
