Went to the annual plant sale at the botanical gardens in the morning. This was my first time there, and even though I had expected a crowd, I was surprised at the amount of people that had showed up. Apparently, the queue had been as long as 2km when the sale started, and the orchids all sold out in the first 20 minutes. I almost walked past the place thinking there was no point to getting in the queue. But I did end up joining anyway - I was there, so why not.
The sale was from 08:00 to 13:00; the orchids were $10, the regular plants were $1-2. There were about 18,000 plants to be sold. I got there at 9:30, got in a line about a kilometre long, and while I was in there only 3 types of plants were remaining, out of about 50 types. I got in around 10:30, only one of the types seemed appealing (I don't know much about plants) so I grabbed about 6 of them - I can no longer recall their name, but it's the ones in the photo.
Got home, placed them in the balcony, then took a nap. I was exhausted from all that waiting.
