This morning we woke up to the ship making its way to the Cairns Cruise Terminal, past the many sailing vessels, in time for a 9am docking.
Our balcony also provided us an excellent view of the tug boat rotating the ship around.
Cairns has a well established ecotourism industry, and our day tour took us to the nearby Skyrail up to Kuranda. Via a series of cable cars, we were taken up over the tropical rainforest to this small village outside of town. But not before stopping at a few stations along the way to appreciate the beauty of the region.
Once in Kuranda we had a short period of time to look around before our return back to Cairns and the ship. Plenty of time then to check out the Butterfly House!
All in all a rather peaceful day exploring nature and the environment!
