Gosh it feels like forever since I posted here. So much has gone on in my life over the past few months that I have barely had time to take out my camera and enjoy my hobby.
Over the last couple of months I have come to accept myself for who I truly am - a transgender woman, something I tried to hide (even from myself) for almost 20 years. To celebrate my coming out, my wife and I attended our first Pride Rally in Brisbane.
Amidst a sea of rainbows were people unashamed to show their authentic selves. Here was a group of people openly proclaiming their love for those whom they choose to share their lives with.
Given this was the first year since marriage equality was brought to Australia, it is also fitting to acknowledge the amazing person who has stood by me throughout my journey so far. So is nothing short of fully accepting towards who I am as a person and I look forward to continuing this amazing journey alongside her.
Note: For those that are interested, I am more than happy to share my story over at my blog: http://livingauthenticallyamber.wordpress.com
