is this the devil?

by Asiamack October. 03, 2010 385 views

this ‘devillish’ looking fruit caught my eyes in a supermarket. it was categorised as ‘fruit’ under the name of “dragon horn fruit”. i googled for the name but none surfaced. i bought some, not for eating but just to share with you the devil of its look.

it was stated that this fruit was imported from China. anybody knows what it really is?

This are something we used to have during mid Autumn Festival. They're edible after cooking in boiling water.
Good shots.

Interesting, I've never seen such a fruit either. When I first saw your photo and hadn't read the text, both 'bat' and 'tasmanian devil' came to mind...
