Have been very fortunate to be selected as one of 9 international participants in the 2017 Kwanhun-Korea Press Foundation Fellowship from Oct 26-Nov 26 this year. The one month programme was truly wonderful ~ wonderful host at the KPF — Honourable Mr Min (KPF President), sisterly beauty Haejoo, brotherly Mr Park, brotherly handsome Sam Song, beautiful So-hee and beautiful Ji-yun, to name a few closest to us and taking very good care of us.
Also wonderful are fellows from Mongolia (Crystal), Vietnam (Huong), Indonesia (Delia), Thailand (Piyangor), Myanmar (Khine), Egypt (Zakaria), India (Manish) and Sri Lanka (Shyam).
And wonderful too were visits to idyllic Jeju Island, 2018 Winter Olympic venue in Pyeongchang, 2nd Naval base, several beautiful temples and palaces and outstanding metropolis Seoul. Lectures and discussions attended were also wonderful where I learnt a lot about South Korea's quantum leap from ashes of war to its present high-income economy and very advanced country, its politics, threats it faces daily from North Korea, its socio-cultural life, its awesome FOOD and of course doubly awesome K-Pop.
And, the fully serviced long-stay hotel where KPF put us up the for whole one month — Fraser Central right smack in Seoul — was awesome. I would recommend the Place to anyone anytime!
My endless huge thanks and hugs for everybody, not forgetting Ms Alyn Chan of the South Korea's Embassy in Kuala Lumpur who has been of great help to me.
