Hubby and I hired a small campervan and drove from Launceston to Hobart across to the east coast and down. Tasmania is all about the food and wine. So of course in my travel blog I called it Tasting Tasmania :)
However, Tasmania also has some amazing scenery! Totally awesome!! And plenty of things to hold interest along the way like orange coloured rocks, big blow holes, waterfalls, billabongs, stunning white sand bays, old convict forts and man made stone bridges ..... beer drinking pigs, a pub in the paddock.... and did I mention wineries, a berry farm and very fresh seafood? Oh yes..... Tasting Tasmania :)
Launie... (Launceston) is at the northern end of Tassie... (Tasmania).
I liked the Tamar River Cruise the best including wine tastings. The first time I indulged in Pinot Noir which is what Tassie does best. Pinot Noir is between fully bodied red wine and rose. It can be chilled. I must say that I look for it now when I do my wine shopping :)
