I've spent a lot of time photographing Bald Eagles during the winter in Iowa. It never seems to fail that the weather is extremely cold and the skies cloudy. On this particular day I was fortunate to have plenty of lighting, but more than that, it was good directional light. It also helped that there were close to 100 very active eagles providing ample opportunities. Only downside being the single digit to below 0 temperatures #photographerscantbechoosey
I took 400-500 photos in the span of about 2 hours. Dialing in the correct aperature, ISO, & shutter speed is a work in progress. Unfortunately many of the photos were a little overexposed. I was able to come away with 20-30 pretty good shots though.
