I simply love the end of summer. The cool mornings, clear sunny skies, the last warm sun rays resting on your skin, and the sense of change that brings along a feeling of both sadness and hope. All the amazing autumn colours that start to appear in the nature, only to soon fade away and make space for a long winter. The forests are full with ripe berries, waiting to be picked. Crops are harvested. Foods are stored. I feel that both nature and people are preparing to settle into a slower mode, busy enjoying the last bit of summer and getting everything done, like giving everything we have before it is time to withdraw for the winter.
This year the end of summer is even more special and exciting, as we are expecting the fourth member of our family to be born any day now. It is fascinating how it all seems to be in sync - the changes happening in my body, the shifts of mind, the start of a new phase in our family and the ongoing change happening all around us. Nature has it ways right! -Pirate I
