Souris, North Dakota

A shower had just passed through just as the sun was setting when I hit, Souris, a tiny place just south of Canadian border. It was a glorious sunset on a wonderfully quiet evening. Nothing much stirred, not even at the tavern pictured here with the blue neon Miller Lite sign on in the window. For those of us who don't live so far north, it's hard to believe how late the sun sets in the summer way up here, but this was taken just a few minutes before 10 p.m.

So beautiful. Great set ! It's like Edward Hopper's paintings.

That is an incredible sunset in the first shot, and hard to believe it is 10pm!

Wow! The first one is absolutely stunning! We enjoyed the southern parts of N and S Dakota.
