The Christian Science Center (mother church) on Mass Ave. I've adored this building from the outside for years, and I finally went inside …

the old church (connected to the Mother Church)

Mary Baker Eddy Library - the Hall of Ideas. This is a part of the Christian Science Center complex, right outside of the mapparium (giant glass globe that you can stand inside - unbelieveable)

fountain in the Hall of Ideas. Words and sentences are projected from above onto the surface of the water

The Boston Public Library - main stairway. This is what a library should look like

Bates Hall. If you're going to study on a Saturday, you might as well do it here

The Boston Public Library - the Abbey Room. Spectacular mural cycle ("The Quest of the Holy Grail") by Edwin Austin Abbey.

The Boston Public Library - the Sargent Gallery. Mural cycle "the Triumph of Religion" by John Singer Sargent. Recently restored, and Boston is grateful.
