Grotte aux fées / Mont Pèlerin

Another eventful day. Since the weather was quite cloudy today, we decided to look for some indoor activity. At the end it turned out to be an underground activity, and we got wet nevertheless.
We went to Saint-Maurice, to visit the Grotte aux fées [], the cave of the fairies. It is the oldest public cave system in Switzerland. The entrance is quite high up the hill, it is a good exercise in itself to get there. The cave is a long tunnel, mainly created by the water. The walls are wet, and there is some water constantly pouring from above. There are amazing chutes and wild colours where the chemical reactions painted the rocks. At the end of the tunnel there is a big cave with a lake and an amazing waterfall.
We also walked a bit in Saint-Maurice, it is a lovely town. Unfortonately it started raining, so we drove back to Vevey instead.

In the afternoon we went up to Mont-Pèlerin, walked up to the tv tower on the top of the hill. We took the elevator and checked out the spectacular panorama from the top of the tower.
