Ecole de Ski

Enikö was enrolled to the local ski school for a week, in order to learn the basics from professional instructors. We hope that after that she can come with us to the easier slopes, so we can finally all ski together.

The school operates on the mountain of Les Pléiades, which is just above Vevey. The parents only have to take the kids to the train station in the morning, the instructors take over from there and return early afternoon. It was the third day of the course when Judit went up to the mountain as well to check Enikö's progress. The kids very already very comfortable on the skis, coming down in slalom and doing various exercises, like throwing pine cones to each other while slowly sliding down the slope.

By the fifth day they were skiing backwards and coming down on one leg, doing things I am not sure I could do. I cannot wait to do some family skiing to see it myself, but unfortunately the snow situation is not very good right now, we desperately need some fresh snow in the mountains.
