Lightning Strike in the Sandhills

A spring thunderstorm produces cloud to ground lightning as it rolls through the beautiful grass covered Sandhills of central Nebraska. The Sandhills are one of my favorite places to view storms because of it's treeless, wide open spaces.

What an amazing shot! I have been wondering how to capture lightening in day light. We can use long exposure in the night but cannot during day. Thanks.

Thanks! In this case I took a series of 2 second exposures with a smaller aperture.
