This week's theme is the PhotoBlog minimalist photography challenge.
I don't use minimalism too often when composing. As a travel photographer, I find myself more concerned with capturing colorful scenes of people and the flow of daily life in a location.
Having said that, I dabble occasionally. I enjoy minimalism because it challenges me to see patterns in geometry, limit my color palette, and compose an image that is clean, simple, yet visually striking.
I'm based in South Korea until Christmas. I live very close to the beach. Early in the morning, I went down with a friend and came face to face with a thick wall of fog. I asked him if he'd walk away into the fog for me. I then fired off a few exposures, one of which you can see below. What do you think?
Here's the link to this week's theme announcement. There's still plenty of time to get an entry in, but no point hanging around... Get inspiration by checking out the other entries so far here. Happy shooting.
P.S. If you didn't know, I'm PhotoBlog's new Community Manager. It would be great if you'd come and say hello over on the Forum. See you there!
