Night-time In Chicago

Summer 2015: I spent three weeks in Chicago visiting a friend of mine. She lived in a prime spot on N.Michigan Avenue, so I had an amazing opportunity to get up high and shoot long exposures from a rooftop not many people have access to.

When I was back at home, I successfully licensed #1, #3 (actually a similar shot without the man as I didn't manage to get a model release), #4, plus two others, to  Brand USA

This week's Weekly Theme is Light Trail photography. Images #1 and #2 are here to represent. I can't wait to see everyone's entries.

Zooming in on those light trails below. I chose to use a cooler white balance, hence the blue tones.

The Green Mill -- Al Capone's jazz club. I loved this place.

I had heard some American bartenders are fearful of Brits because we tip poorly. It was here at the original Billy Goat Tavern that I decided to leave a good impression of my nation’s people. I sat and had two draft beers at the bar, leaving a good tip for each. When I went to order a third, the bartender said "Put your money away. We’re buying you one!"

Hope you enjoyed seeing these. Let me know in the comments below. Check out the other entries to Weekly Theme #19 by clicking here
