XIX: Nesvík camp pictures

Titus 2,5-7:
To be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness
(NIV)

I was asked to a Christian camp held in Nesvík, by the Faroese Inner Mission (Heimamissiónin). I was supposed to be one of the leaders there, but since I just got a new job, I couldn't go. Still I went there almost every day, and one of my assignments was to take pictures of the people sharing rooms during the camp.

There were a total of around 170 kids, divided into 14 rooms.

I've chosen just that verse, because I see it as a very important task for us, who are a bit older to be role models to everyone, in word and deed.

These boys had their own suggestion, this was difficult, because they should all preferably look perfect…

These had the location planned, but I suggested the raised arm. Also a tough picture to shoot.
The guy holding the pieces of paper is a leader, two guys were missing, that's the reason for the sheets.

Yeah… This was in a hurry, they had a rehearsal to do and no ideas on what they wanted. It was very difficult to get any setup, because most of them were afraid of heights…

These had just thought of a location, but the fisheye made this one a bit more interesting…

Just a pre-planned setup and everything just went great here. Of course it was a bit difficult with the lighting conditions, but I think it went okay.

These were just models, all of them.
Great shot and they had planned the location and their setup. The fisheye just made this one stand out.

These had no idea what they wanted and this was my suggestion. Went great, but I shot a ton of pictures. I really like the reflection here.

These just came up with this setup and that's all to this one.

They knew they wanted the picture in B

These girls were impossible to satisfy, but once the picture was printed and such, they agreed it turned out pretty well. They requested the sepia effect themselves

This one was the fastest one to shoot. Everything was ready and the location enough fun in itself.

The yellow circle marks a poop. I came up with the idea to shoot the picture, where a poop is in the foreground and focus, while they're all gathered around it. But this was equally fun, especially since it would be impossible to fit all of them in the other picture.

They had everything planned out and I just had to set the lighting and shoot the picture.

And this was the last one of them all. I had gotten in a creative mood and since they were so many, I thought, why not double the amount..?
