Orcas in Penn Cove

by Beth September. 06, 2010 1886 views

We were visiting friends on Whidbey Island (Puget sound in Washington) and there were 3 orca whales in the bay. There used to be a pod of whales that lived here 40 years ago and in the past several years they have started to return. They were probably hunting for salmon.

Awesome! When I was in Washington we went whale watching in the San Juan Islands but I had a slower camera then and had little luck at being quick enough to capture them.
